A Well Worth Wait

It took so long, But now we are together and, I know it will last forever, Not just a relationship but also a friendship that will grow on forever. We had such a good friendship, That I thought it would never become more. But later on I started to think about you all the time, And wish that we were more than just friends. I would imagine you holding me tight, I could just see you as being Mr. Right, Telling me everything would be o.k. And knowing you truly cared. I told you everything before, Except that I loved you. So now that we are finally together, I???ll start by telling you that??? I love you!!

You have even stanzas, but the lines are a bit lenghty. When writing about a such a popular subject it's important to keep your language fresh, avoiding cliches (I know that word is a cliche itself).

It is a very well written poem and also sweet. At parts you flowed very nicely then you broke up. But it was very good.

Aaaaaaah. I can feel my heart melting. 3. Less of a poem, more a plot line on a crappy, low-budget US sitcom.

Oh dear - you can do better,
heart is the right place, but the poems in the wrong place.
