Thanks to the blackbirds for dining out west locusts for staying away Thanks to the hail for choosing Missouri floods for dumping back east Thanks to Greensburg for taking the twister drought for baking Kentucky Thanks to the wind for stirring up north mites for feasting down south Thanks to the rain for coming when called bankrupt farmers for taking the brunt Sweet are their gifts to Tribune, Kansas sweeter ours another year
