As I come home from work getting out the keys Pull out my frozen dinner and just watch T.V. Then while I lose sleep from the thunder hitting the trees I wonder about my life and ask why Why do I go on and why am I here As the sadness fills me up with tears Living my life with nothing but fear Took years of school and yet no career Life's confusing me as I get up to take another beer I just realized... (Refrain) I'm just going back to my old way As I think again in my life Every step is harder by the day And I can't see another thing in sight Now as I hear the ticking of the clock It reminds me on how often people use me up As midnight passed by, and I thought my life stopped I just wanted to be someone, never in the top While seconds go slower, trying to haunt me With my memories stopping me from my dream And the only thing that makes sense is... (Refrain) (bridge) So now with no family, friends, money, or relationship The sun comes up with me just frozen in bed And since that the pieces of the puzzle don't fit I just hope someone heard what I said Someone who will help just because... (refrain x2)
