Reaching Out

In your eyes I see, A wondrous world to share And the love I have to share, Or do you not see it there… Why do you fret in coming near? What sort of love do you fear? What in me makes you quiver, And from your eyes cry a tear? What in me makes you hide away? What makes you fear to come and stay? You say it’s been too long, You say it’s that we’re just friends But I know that the reason you give, Is not the reason you keep deep down. What you will keep and hold For as long as you live. Is it the love I have? Or is it the love you fear to bear? I’m reaching out to you, You can at least see me there…
