calling pain to the surface

The pain inside me longing to break out I try to turn away and no matter Which direction it’s the same thing always pain I look it in the eyes it commands me I fall at its feet and weep The evil enjoys my suffering The pain softly whispers to me I have every option cut off I can’t do anything for I have fallen Find the light for me and help me again I’m screaming now while the music plays My life ventures on and never stops Careening from my control I can’t stop it I remember it all All the pain flooding back From the memories are they the truth How could it be that agonizing The truth I try to ignore It’s all there it won’t go away I cry out in the voice of a child No one’s there to hear it I face this sting alone Touch my hand and give me faith
