I haven't "defined" this as not a poem. I haven't done any defining at all. You only need the vaguest notion of "poem" to see that this isn't one. Here is a proof:

1. If something is prose, it isn't poetry.
2. The above is (obviously) prose.
3. So it isn't poetry.
