cat replying on Mr. Stryker, Do You Really Want Some Kind of War? by cat 4 Aug 2004, 1:34 AM
The ingeniously pseudonymed poet with the ellipsis, I'm assuming you are saying that your train of thought storms off to a place of internal reflection due to the original placement of words by cat. Your mind is also probably wondering how an animal manages to capture the conflicts of humans and their battles with their past, their present, and their future. But it doesn’t stop there you say out loud, "who is this cat?" Is it a cat, a co-worker, your best friend, the person you saw at the bus stop, the entity that created the universe. You can say it sucks if that makes you feel better, but I know that an ellipsis stands for the emotions that can’t be said, because you are so choked up and lost for words, that’s why you write, that’s why I write, because there is just so much that I can’t… so thank you, thank you for your well thought out comments, I appreciate them.

"Spoofing of other users is not permitted." This is not a spoof. A spoof would be written in the style of ___________(insert poet). This poem is not written in the style of Dovina. It is written in the style of >not Dovina<. Therefore it is just a freaky, jerky elementary school rhyme. It should take its place next to "fat, fat the water rat," "I see Paris. I see France. I see someone's underpants" and so many others in that genre. -5- for showing up and posting.
god'swife on The recovery room by katinchina 3 Aug 2004, 5:11 PM
Great title, rough-sketch poetics. The 12th & 13th lines are tops without the 'Still'up front. "C.... to s...., c... for s...". Though the title csught my eye, it does not jive with the poem. Where's the recovery? Looks like death to me.
