Thank you for the comment. My grammer and spelling has always been pretty bad :( At one point in time I quit writing because I hated always having to have someone look my work over for errors. As I age it seems to get better but high school and middle school kids can still spell better than me...hehe
yes, i could. thank you.
Could you go to Sea instead?
amen. nice work, alph-beta.
There's a lot to like here, but your strong central image is overwhelmed. The gist of it seems to be (and if you're annoyed by editing, then disregard):
We made eight thousand
clay squares and triangles
glazed black and white
and fired each one,
arranged a tesselation
of perfect dimensions
and proper proportions:
an attempted Metamorphoses,
an insect become a fish.
But a week was not long enough.
I returned to the task
ten years later.
Red paint obscures the image,
but it is still intact.
This weekend I will clean it with a wire brush
and try to find a way
to find you
and let you know that it is safe.
even better. back atcha.
Huh? What? Huh?
Two words do not make a drunk. FUCKER! Purely in the Eels sense, though.
I am not sure obsolete is the right word, Cad. Pointless I will buy, especially since hat hare gave me the vegan rake over so many years back. I was trying to write in the vain of Ogden Nash. Yes, I failed. A paper airplane it is. Hooray!!!
your typing is horrible. are you drunk?
trivia is not for 2 more nights!!!!!
Here, here.
If I put as much energy into my poetry as I do making a living..... Maybe a definition of ownership might help.
Why is that?
Beautifully written, it leaves me feeling ponderous yet calm and contented.
A joy to read and a captivating opening.10
pig, what's your gripe with p&k?
it's not just yearly, it's year-round, mes freres.
Nice to see someone you can't fault. that must be hard ofr you having to admit that. I liked the directness of this poem though it was sweet.
