I like it - the subject matter hits home. Honest and sad without being weepy. I stumbled over one line: "If you only knew what my eyes think"... The rest was concrete, but that was kind of abstract. Thanks for sharing

Yeah, in thinking about your previous comment, I was wondering how it would be if I just left out those last lines. Somehow, I wanted to convey that I wasn't truly convinced of the stuff above... but I think maybe you're right. Thanks

valid points, some witty parts - seems a bit bulletproof, though. "My poetic commentary on bad poetry was intentionally not that great"
