Oh So Hollow

I am gone without a reason I am lost without a cause The fear wells up inside me And I hide behind my walls The pain is overwhelming From being left behind Where is all the courage I thought I had inside My own silly feelings Force me from myself Keep me from the people I should love the most Once my heart was whole I gave as best I could Cracks began to form My world fade away What could I've done Catch pieces as they fell What good would it've done To put them back once more When every friends I see Steals another beat Or takes another tear From this lonely fortress That I call myself Thus my walls stand high Blockading all emotions Inclusive of my own Who would have known protection Takes so much from home Destroying fragile inners To fortify the wall Makes me oh so hollow In every instance of my life A single breaking heart Incased in solid steel Breaking from the pain Which I cause myself With the very effort To keep you from tearing it apart
