This is almost exactly the same poem as your last one, only not as good. I'd understand if you were trying to perfect the form, but then I'd be obliged to tell you you're not doing it very well.

Since joining poemranker, I've often noticed a tendency among posters criticized for writing cliches to make all their following posts entirely out of polysyllables, and I was wondering if you could explain to me why that is. All you've got now is a thesaurus-dependent gabble that would be absolutely hilarious read aloud, in addition to being (admittedly) about nothing or nothing new. The best line of this is made of common one- and two-syllable words. I bet you won't guess which one I mean.

I like "mayhaps".
I guess I'm not much into more ass humor at the moment. It goes together well enough.

- I guess I forced rhyming to much... But everything sounded so much in tune to the rhythm I have in my head. So, I'm keeping it. And I also love what I wrote about. It's not sad, not angery, but a bit happy. Almost, but not to much into the happy mix. Just right outside the door. - But I wrote this in a cheery mood, so... what does that have to say?

I will like this so much more when it has the word "concrete" in it only once.
Watch your preposition use; too much - especially with so many conjunctions (but/yet).
Pretty solid sentiment just the same though.

Richa mein freund - I grow familiar with your Australian abstractions; good stuff.
nits-
"beared"? bore?
"entered the picture" - seems like a missed poetic opportunity.

Pretty nice, calliope.
This is an entirely different style (etc.), but have you read "the old fools" by philip larkin?

"opera of obscenities" - nice.
Yes, an edit once the emotion has leveled out a bit would be good for it; a nice distillation.

Kindof a different slant on an old theme; kudos.

I was going to be nice and give you a one, but that gay comment lost you another point. If you're going to have some random, unintelligent statement like that in your poetry, you should at least have the decency to make it a somewhat good poem.

I think it represents a good snapshot of a frame of mind in the moment just before one "grows up" (whatever that is) - this exact feeling.
You may be surprised, and perhaps relieved, to know that there is still a bit to go and you won't spend your entire life wishing for misspent youth.
As a slight aside, there is a recent study where folks aged 65 and older were asked what their favorite age was - 40-41 was the most cited result.
