Bahookie, your poem is no way nearly as odd as your name. i like this poem yet i can't understand why.
I was shocked to see this poem. Shocked that anyone here besides me would know about Porcupine Lake, Dead Man's Point and the Great Fire. I even posted a poem last week (now deleted) that referenced these. And to see a poem with this title... I have often said to my old friends from South End that I want my ashes scattered at Dead Man's Point, on a night when the Northern Lights are snaking through the sky... Aw, the memories of fishing for pike, running the trail, exploring the bush, with my Connaught Hill gang...
Famished? Famished? What have you said!!??? We you dying from starvation? Hem? were you? Otherwise This is my favoritist poem ever ever ever and should be everyone favoritist poem* ever ever ever since christmas is a lovely time and you have captured christmas rather well. I once capture Father Christmas but that my dear is another kepel of fishwives althogether. *Apart from the members of international Jewery who arn't allowed christmas because their noses won't fit in the mulled wine glasses At least thats what God's wife once said. I think

That a decent poem, i don't know why i like it so much, being in a relationship makes it much more emotional. good work MaliqaTara

I like it a lot, but I'm slightly confused by the title vs. the context. It seems more like you're talking to a familiar acquaintance of some sort, rather than a stranger on the street. Or maybe you're calling that acquaintance a loser of life? Hmm, that could be what I originally missed.

On a onceover not much I can see wrong with it. The strongest part is: We saw only, that our friends feign As shadows, that speaks volumes as does the wrap up. The opening I think is the problem as it too much of a quote rather than an intro. Maybe something less lecturing. However I see no reason other than it was slated only because even though its a grand poem its not representative or as consistent as all your others. Just an inkling still 8 worthy

Um...it doesn't make much sense to me personally, but then i am stupid, it sounds pretty cool anyhow.

It's either complete shit or pure genius. Or somewhere in the middle. Yes, somewhere. Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes. No. Yes. Get me a bucket. I liked the final stanza. Certainly makes one search for hidden meanings and whatnot. Your insect rage becomes you. Hell in a headbasket.
