I like it, good poem!!
this one always makes me cry. i'm going to just give it a curtsie and a hang nail.k
Tastee, TASTY; yum. Alright, I'm depressed because of yesterday's election results in this country, and, mostly, Sen. Wellstone's passing; but, quality poetry can always pick me up.
the ending is very very disappointing. there is nothing new here. the chasing frogs was new. years passed but not lived is stale. take the linebreaks back out. then people won't read it and be disappointed by it.
Your poems seem to be from some other time.
who's the moisture in god's cup. who's the hootanannie from cincinnati? that would be...the inventor of the frisbee...dr. spock!
I don't think the labour party want you to be whore. Mr. Blair is too nice a man for that. I think there's some middle ground between the housewife and the prostitute.
S2 L5 "renewing" sort of brings the mood to a grinding stop. Could you use a synonym? The last stanza I particularly like.
I love the ideas here especially S2. 'Love is warm...' is a very insightful line. last 4 lines S3 in particular need dressing up. I think you could really turn this into solid poem if you put more sentiment into it.

on George Bush, Jesus Christ, and the good ole US of A! by dougsoderstrom

There was a strange man named George Bush
Who seemed in some sort of a rush:
For he won an election
When he should have been sectioned
That crazy young man named George Bush!
Need I point out that, beyond the dodgy rhymes, complete failure to scan, and general sacrifice of interesting content in favour of the last word in each line, your gravest error is to be caddishly unaware that penicillin IS a mould, which kills BACTERIA.
Very funny! Much mirth was had with this one!!
Nice ideas, and well written - job's a good'un!
I'll guess that you deserve a 10; but, alas, I don't speak/read/write Dutch. Seems to rhyme. Methinks this the first completely foreign language poem on this site. I'll have to cook up one in German. Isn't Dutch just English and German thrown together?
A venture into the sad underbelly indigenous British music hall tradition. Pathos out of comedy - a classic paradox. Very nice.
Poor and inane - 3 points, and only because you did at least include some kind of structure. Oh, and as a professional bebop saxophonist, I implore you to stop embarrasing yourself by displaying the vast gaps in your knowledge - "shoe-be-do-be-do" is utter bollocks. Proper bop scat singing goes something like this:
"Oo-bop-eel-ya-da, bop-sh'bam, a-klook-a-mop". Show some respect, you cock-knocker.
lovely and fallen. have a 9.
gorgeous.
