Despite the previous comments made, I liked your poem. Though perhaps, as darkangel so gently put it, others do feel the same as you; you have the gift to express theses feelings in a beautiful and unique way. I thought the metaphor between the chamelion and an everchanging girl was truly genious. Keep writing, and thinking...
Does'n matter to me, we'll self destruct with or without god, I think. Good poem though.
Nicely judged,both technically and emotionally.
You manage to be descriptive and also political. The poor are still with us, just ebtter hidden. This all sounds much like the market in Stockport, where I grew up. We need more poetry about the north of England.
And everybody wonders why kids send death threats to their teachers. School are factories where they teach oppression. I bet the kids want to shout at you.
Hmmm. Hints at a dark experience, although sadly for you it is not conveyed well at all. I conclude that this is one of two things: a)the nonsensical ramblings of a moron or b) simply a bad, bad poem. 2/10.
Pero si no calmas los enojos. Me dejas ardiente, y deciendo el olvido. Cuantas veces en una sola vida sabre este dulce estar?
Good god this is bad, and correcting the typos will not make it better. Good try though. Keep it up!!
I posted what i thought was a funny and well written commit, but then I submitted it under Horus8. I deleted the comment and now I can't come up with anything clever. I feel bad. I like being funny. I don't want a dead army. I don't understand your metaphor. Tickling the dead sounds gross. I don't want to do it.
Is the repetition intentional?
My favorite of your poems. Many examples of the reach of your creativity. many many beautiful and truthful insights. I don't like the end. My favorite stanzas are 8,9 & 19. I know I will read this again.
"Siempre mientiendo amor" really speaks to my conscience right now. Love is so frgile and dependent on the actors to sustain the illusion. If one decides not to play along anymore, the illusion is broken. I love our back and forth. It is a creative and satisifing business.
The problem is its easy to disapprove of other people's cultural practices. When Britain conquered india, they declared the practice of suttee illegal, and in some ways it became a way of resisting imperial rule. It clearly is barbaric, but attacking it from outside raises comples moral issues.
There's a well-known article by the post-colonial theorist Gayatri Spivak called 'Can the Subaltern Speak?' which addresses this issue, and is very good, if hard going.
This a great description of a student lifestyle, but we aren't all like that. I had a shower this morning. I absolutely agree, however, that all union bars are full of wankers. At the end you seem to equate happiness with having money, which is pretty damn materialistic.
EASY GIRL! The energy you spend being angry could be better spent to improve your writing. Poetry is about feeling, which you are obviously not lacking. However, a larger vocabulary would help, and help us overlook the "wut" and "u" as well. There are times those can be used, just not on a regular basis. Try again, maybe something a little smaller in size too, OK?
Where did the quote come from? Good work, very serious tone. The truth stings but the solution isn't always easy. I pray, every little bit helps. If you care,9
i liked it
