Okay, now, let's all skyclad and cloubburst, hurrah!!
I'm sorry Amealea. I realise you are a sensitive sort and I don't want you to pick up your poems and leave. That just would not be right. I am actually both z and balth and I promise I will leave you alone from now on. Even in the chat room. you new friend, fred.
You must really enjoy being nasty to people, you are the reason I've deleted 10 of my poems from this site. I think I will just move my poems to poetry.com at least there I won't get insulted.
demented, which is my favorite flavor besides simple vanilla. like the british say, good show.
Yo, Baba, as they say, "break a leg" tomorrow night! PK
But it is not really coming across as satire like a few of your other poems and therefore, in my opinion, it comes out as being straightforward, which, in my opinion, makes it sound ridiculous rather than humorous, which is possibly your intended meaning. In a situation like this you go almost use the tactic of crossing the line with humour which would force people to be disgusted and stunned, but force laughter as a nervous response. I do not know, you are the psychologist; you should really know how to manipulate a good yarn. As far as the actual recourse, I agree, but again I think it lies in the current policy that is before congress and most of the agenda is being puppeted through Bush by DICK. This is all his policy. He was spouting "pre-emptive" way back when. Invading Iraq is only a first step. Did you read the policy? It seems we no longer respect the concept of sovereignty considering we will no longer allow any other country to compete with us as a military super power. So does this mean pre-emptive strikes are in the future toward China?
Wow. This reminds me of why I don't miss high school. You have to throw the stupid rule book out the windo and start all over again for yourself. It's the only way to stay sane.
I was thinking more a long the lines of living people. Refrencing spirits or mood. Either way it works.9
Both pieces need less telling and more showing. Recommendation: Find poetry that you like and read as much as you can. You'll develop a better feel for the written word.7
Pretty good, if I don't say so my self.
W-bubba was just in the Queen City of the Plains this morn boosting the wallet of Wayne Allard who is in a fight for his Senate life. Bushie does not do so well here, (even though our moronic guv is being touted as the next great running mate--the ultimate dumb and dumber); much like yesterday in Portland. Anyway, enough off the top of my head. Your obsession of the brewing battle aside, if there is to be a bout do you actually think it will lead to the apocalypse (that must be a joke i don't get) or just a lapse in policy that will allow W the flexibility to protect US "interests" in other places like Columbia, Iran, Brazil, on so on? To me the policy behind the war is much more dangerous then the war itself, minus the needless loss of lives. But considering your noble stance and poetic activism, wouldn't it be better to write something that is not so blatantly ridiculous? sincerely, poetandknowit, pdD.
Yes, Abigail is a good name for her! Wynonna and her big brown beaver aside, this poem is truly acerbating. Who would want to be your boyfriend, unless it was a drunken one night only affair?
gruesome? hmm. all the graves are above ground so they DON'T get flooded (as NO is below sea-level). THAT would be gruesome! this is really nice. simple, where everyone else, especially me, fails in the haiku.
This is poemranker, not high school, we don't have to double space here. I am sad after reading this, truly sad.
Oh good god, will these things ever stop coming up. O why, o why! Do you watch soap operas? the daytime version? Or those talk show things. Okay, here I go, but not as much this time. There is an incredibly fine line between art that is good and art that is melodramatic sap when dealing with extraordinary emotional subjects There are good poets (in the case) who constantly tread it and are successful with it. Why? Because 1) they experienced it first hand so it is impossible not to feel as they feel and 2) they are extremely honest and observant with their self referential exploits to know that tragedy does not necessarily need to be souped up in needless adjectives and phrases. Simplicity works every time in these cases. I do not doubt you had a friend die, I do not doubt you were saddened by it, but when I read this I doubt both. Do you see my drift?
I like this. So abstract! good job.
This ones too deep for me. Maybe it's a girl thing, this one.Good though8
OUCH! But you are right.9
