In all honesty, I must ask:
wheres the fire, and why do I feel so limp? Take my five and be gone!

What a great future! I think even the footprints in time blow away. A tapestry carefully woven and inevitibly unraveled.
Please see my comment on Time's End.

I would have given up to two teeth I have left to have written such a poem. Anyone want to trade two teeth for a blender?

This is really quite a lovely little poem. I love the
last three stanzas and my only suggestion is the third
stanza. IMO, it doesn't quite flow as well as the rest
of the poem. Still, it's exceptional as is. Good stuff
and a solid nine.

You seem to be suggesting there is some merit in an idea that can only be adequately articulated in one language. What buncombe. A meaningful statement can be expressed in any comprehensive language, such as English, and any information lost in the translation can only be meaningless, emotive hogwash.

I'm running on mental fumes, so I'll be brief an to the mother-fucking point:
bloated. You could make this into a haiku. Over-elaborated language applied with careless abandon. The analogy with "the itsy bitsy spider" causes me to start reciting that cursed ditty in the middle of your piece and is also much too fucking weak for what your trying to express.
Stop gilding the goddamn glitter and fucking put some intelligence and poetic common-sense into it. No Vote. Good Day.

Loved things like ": a knife", but please uncensor the beeps, as it were, it's like being at a clown party to be punctuated like this.

I must say, the language from the previous commentor was uncalled for, although slightly overdone, I would say this has the potential if edited to be a really good poem.....................

Like this too, the incense bit was confusing yes. And 'The almost-steel night thieves gold.' I can see where you are going but as a single sentence is difficult to grasp. But yes did I say I like it.

Cute enough nice sounds, the last two lines of each verse are a nice innovation.

Groovy, of course the convention of a haiku is to have two inextricably linked images. Here the link is between the body of the poeme and the title I think.

I love this. "War" doesn't seem right though for kites praying of fireflies. The fireflies can only try to dart away. Then as "letters" of birds reel above, it seems some connection with the first line is needed. Like "razed haze of high English summer"

I like the repeated line "Clouds above forming" with its shades of meaning, and rhyming lines 2 and 4. There must be a name for this.
"Echoes as we part" or "Your sad goodbyes to me"

Itsy Bitsy spider climbed up the water spout. It's a childhood tune a lot of us remember, and can be used to show the good thing you are attempting. Cutting this down to size and following the pattern of the song would make it a lot stronger.

I like it because it provokes thinking about the possible "illusion of order and substance."
Try leaving out "then" in the last verse.
