Re: The Voice by jroday Bhaskaryya 202.63.190.228 25-Feb-05/9:54 PM
Has a lyrical rhythm to it and I wonder if this would do better as lyrics rather than free verse poem, due to some inconsistency in line breaks and rhyme schemes. It was an enjoyable read nonetheless and the matter was great. Verdict: Beautiful!

Finally, something on the best list that deserves to be there. Well, at least until some anonymous fucking idiot knocked it off. *sigh* Oh well, one day all will be right.

We had an earthquake here a week or so ago. People just sat there with stupid looks on their faces until it was over. I'm telling you, if the big one ever does hit the New Madrid Fault, there's going to be a lot of dead fuckers around here.

Line 2: sayest is singular, they plural. Line 3: use "thee" to stay with the old English. Line 4: the beat is off. Try morn delays. That's as far as I got. You've got the old (yawn)English voice alright.

Well, you sent me to the dictionary. 3 points. I'm okay with girning and cantering, damson is a reach. 2 points. The construction is overall solid. 2 points. The puntuation is good, somethings fishy about the opening line. Maybe a bit run on. It's also visually well balanced. 2 points. It's definitely worth "finishing".

The poem: Brilliant. The order is perfect as is the length.

Same damn thing happens here in Florida. When we get a hurricane warning, and they tell everyone to seek shelter. Management will tell some of there workers if they don't come to work there fired, and you have some fools that will try to go.
