The reason the algebra is correct is not because he tests it. That it is correct means that when he tests it it is not falsified. In that sense your explanation does not fit.
For me this poem portrays a chap who is happy to hold a rather simple formula which works. It is insignificant in the general scheme of things but to him it is just dandy.

A fine comparison if you can know about afterlife (stars). The clockwork nature of sunsets (death) seems and the certainty of night seems stretched. Still a good poem.

This is no integration or âreal mathâ but just simple algebra used to show how some people (make that most people) allot solid truth to certain maxims that seem to them truth-worthy on evidence.

You either missed the point, I failed to make the point clear to you, or you got the point, didnât mention it, or didnât like it.

God, you can be serious sometimes. Maybe itâs the language barrier â English vs. English, or some cultural disparity, but âganging upâ was a joke as was my talk of wafts and belches. We both know that I meant a weak mixture of smells emanating from the opening door having tinges of beer and stuff. Call it a belch, but thatâs too strong. âA barely detectable waft having properties of a belchâ is accurate, but for a poem it seemed that âlike a belchâ just might do the trick for most readers. Maybe it didnât.

Not only is the maths in this poem facile beyond belief, principally because you wouldn't know decent maths if it bit you on the arse, but the poem itself it terrible. Doesn't scan, has no rhythm, in fact, apart from being arranged into four, for want of a better word, stanzas, could just be some guffy text. Give us a break with the maths poems.

Are you fucking serious? Look, you essentially said in your dissertation "people who had X qualities scored generally higher on a test of Y, which we define as 'having X qualities'." Then I made fun of you for it. Then you whemied off into the moonlight. Jesus.
And no, I just guessed you were the kind of person to volunteer as a moonlight hike organizer.

Homosexuals are predominantly higher-eds and liberals. Considering all of your subject group is higher ed, and the overwhelming majority is liberal, where do you think that puts the percentage of homo college professors in relation to the uberfaulty national average of 8.39%? A cookie if you get the right answer.
However, you are the only one who whemies.

If you can't answer that, you've got no place writing poetry.

Um, that's what I meant. That it's sexist against women.
Incidentally, Arabs get the expression "housewife" from American movies. Before that it was just "wife". Or, even better, "woman".

Don't go through life thinking any two people who think the same thing about you are "ganged up". For one thing, that's the justification for the Iraq War. Which, I needn't mention, makes you and the angels cry.
I think the part you're not getting is that "smoke, beery air and hamburger grease" IS a belch. You're saying something equivalent to "roses smell like flowers" or "the brown stain soils my underbottoms like a turd."

You may not ask. I had to read a bunch of random dribble to find out, and I don't see any reason why you shouldn't have to.
Okay, it's richa.

Apathy:
Lack of interest or concern, especially regarding matters of general importance or appeal; indifference.
Still a good poem, regardless. I still can't believe I took time to inspect your faulty contradiction by way of thesaurus. *8*
P.S.
Indifference:
apathy demonstrated by an absence of emotional reactions
P.P.S. I am a f**king loser.
