Hey, ace characterization! And right on the nose, too! Here's mine for you: As usual, you're not answering the fucking point of my fucking comment.

DAMN Cuddly one. Tis the best yet, in my humble opinion. A light bright enough? BRILLIANT! Yes!

Very well done Hoarus, I truly enjoyed this piece. It reminds me of my dad's favorite poem... I pass by a poor old farmhouse, It's shingles broken and black. Good Imagery

I can feel the echoes of your love in the words you have written. Thank you for sharing them.

"Rainbow after a grim shower" just doesn't work, but neither does the last verse, and "methinks" doesn't fit either. Sorry.

I'll say something now that you've revised it to where an ordinary American thinks she understands. The arguement that turning clocks back in the fall for farmers in northern latitudes is hogwash. They don't work the fields during winter, so how does a time change help them? Arizona has the right plan - no plan at all. I think you could have said it tighter and with more impact by leaving out haggis and gristle.

But you forgot the homework they must do. They have a need for math and reading too. Let's not forget the mandatory walk you need to take them on, you need to lock them up at night or else they might escape and take them on more walks to keep in shape! They've needs! All verse has needs we can't forget. They've needs the same as a domestic pet. If you have read this far (this part is sweet) I hope you noticed the iambic beat. If you cant see the rhymes yet then, (you fool!) I've earned a blowjob on my nine inch tool!

Poemes don't have needs you fool; they have hobbies/interests.

I know full well what a sestina is. It is the form with six repeating words that end lines in a pre-set pattern, familiar to any poet who has been in a workshop. However, the form is straining and working against the poem here. Many times the words, especially the word "nurse," are crying to be replaced with a more apt word. The only thing preventing that is that you have shoehorned the entire poem into a form ill suited to the poem's needs.

The comment was a general one on why insipid criticism between parties complimenting themselves is an anathema to many. It is a subtle distinction but I said Dan knows little therefore can write loads of poems. I did not say those who write loads of poems know little. A pinon planter was a good poem. Since then you have had a few sketchy ones which you have been reinforced for by Dan. Dan is a guy who believes those seen as good poets are the same as him but with a thesaurus. Dan is not your friend. We are. As for misinterpreting Hollywood shoe-shiner. His poem was written in about two minutes and the reason it could be is because the only criteria it sought to satisfy was to make the message 'earnest poets use thesauri and it don't matter I'm uneducated' rhyme.

Very interesting use of form

Since I know this poem is supposed to mean something, and I don't know what it is, you get the 8 of ambiguity

The repeating words are straining you
