Did you have so much trouble because this is a compendium of the worst lines posted on poemranker? Yes!
Re: LOVE-ABOVE LISTE by Everyone 19-Apr-04/10:15 AM
These should be broken into the following categories:

-'...knowing you're an angel up above.'
-'...you're like an angel up above.'
-'...blessed by/sent by the Lord above.'
-[other objects above.]
-[doesn't make any goddamn sense.]

Hi. You have no idea how a semicolon works, do you?
Re: a comment on Dear M Foucault, or, How I knew our relationship was doomed by zodiac 19-Apr-04/4:34 AM
Yes, I did. In that book, he argues that homosexuality really didn't exist until the Victorian Age defined it. Before then, it was just some dudes fucking around. The theory is, as you might imagine, supremely wrong.

If you ever find a woman who'll agree to sing this for you, I beg you to pull her fingers out of her mouth and nostrils before she suffocates. Then you should give each other home-sterilization jobs using a jury-rigged microwave and tinfoil codpieces before rabbitfucking yourselves off the nearest cliff. -10-
Re: Love Under Will by Tyriana 18-Apr-04/5:00 PM
My god. Zero. Terribly, earnestly zero. God, I do hate running across these witchy 'chaunts' here. "A new-forged ring," indeed. After reading this one, I find my ring enlarged by a magickal factor of 6.

Do you see how no matter how you screw with the format, your poems are all essentially the same, stylistically?

Re: Summers Breath on my neck by unouluvme 18-Apr-04/5:53 AM
Not bad, really. "Summers" is "Summer's" of course. "Tounge" is "tongue". And "the hair that lays flat" should be "hair that lies flat" without the the.

For everyone who doesn't already know, Elliott Smith committed suicide by stabbing himself in the chest with a knife.

HolySpirit is the Jesus costume most often associated with hallucinating, much as ArcticBlast Batman is the Batman costume most associated with the arctic. On the rare instances where HolySpirit and Jesus seem to appear in the same place, it is actually Jesus's sidekick, Father, in the HolySpirit costume, to put off suspicions that Jesus and HolySpirit are, in fact, the same Person.
Re: a comment on horus8 accepts black cock for cash by King Abdullah II 15-Apr-04/6:01 PM
Question: Could/did Jesus hallucinate without the Spirit's assistance?
Re: a comment on horus8 accepts black cock for cash by King Abdullah II 15-Apr-04/5:59 PM
Observe: "Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the desert to be tempted by the devil." Mark 4:1

"As soon as Jesus was baptized, he went up out of the water. At that moment heaven was opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and lighting on him. 17And a voice from heaven said, 'This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased.'" - Matthew 3:16

Jesu's hallucinations (The Devil, doves/voices, etc) all come from the Spirit, so yes.
Re: a comment on horus8 accepts black cock for cash by King Abdullah II 15-Apr-04/5:41 PM
"In November 1983, I was sitting in a lesbian bar in Seattle. My lover was dancing with another woman. As I painfully watched her flirting with the other woman, I heard an audible voice.

"When I looked up, there was powerful presence standing next to the table where I was sitting. Jesus spoke, 'My child what are you doing here?' The voice was so real. 'I have so much better planned for you than the false security and identity that you live in now.'

"As I looked out onto the dance floor, I saw the most incredible vision: all the smiling faces turned to wax and started to melt. The laughter stopped. The Holy Spirit revealed to me that the broken hearts behind the smiling masks were not really laughing at all. More important was the reality that my heart was also scarred and broken... God began breaking through the denial. He showed me that I was trying to cover over deep emotional wounds. Then He spoke to me in the bar and brought me face-to-face with the truth about my life." - Rebekah Johnston
