Rescue My Heart (Free verse) by pletcgm Since we first met,
My heart has raced like a vet.
You have given me something,
Something I call true love.
As the time has passed
My heart has amassed,
Amassed with many feelings,
Feelings I want to express.
As my heart is at its crest,
My brain has regressed,
Regressed to the stage,
Where you are at the top of the page.
Now is a time for rescue,
As my heart is on this silver platter,
I ask this of you.
Please rescue my heart.
