Bad semicolon use, bud. And didn't it used to say, "the pales we made" or something such? I liked that better.

I love these poemranker-inspired posts. Unfortunately, I have no idea whose the radioactive tears are, nor why they'd be mourning spring while celebrating winter. Maybe it's an allusion to 'crocodile tears'? But no, that doesn't make sense either. And a dozen other things.

Never sure about poems that extend a metaphor by using buzzwords from a given topic-- fallout/ nucl;ear winter/ split the atom/ radioactive.
The best part is verse 1 although it seems to be a better kick in the teeth end rathere than start. At the start of the poem one does not really understand what you are referring to (unless you have a really long title).

I've become quite fond of the 'Bleach' series and this is the best so far.

The fact that Hypatia is gone is definitely a shame. Someone should start a petition to get nentwined to e-mail her to come back. She was a good contributer.
On the subject of the poem: I thought is was quite good and actually made me think of nuclear winter in a literal sense, as I'm too dense to read into underlying meanings. Have you ever read a dexcription of what a nuclear winter would be like? Scary stuff...good thing we found all those WMDs.....

Whitman-esque, painful, honest. very good.
Unfinished.
Take your last three lines, extend the first two and use the last as the closer of the second. I'm sure you're exhausted. Catch your breath, spool up, and go.

(Lucky) helps. I liked it without the second -buckets-. I understood once I had looked up pales. I thought it was fine. Still great though.

Yucaipa feel lately? Ok bad jokes aside. I almost went for El Paso Texas for some reason. I know the coloration of Uranus works but the neme comes across to rudely/humorously. Find another planet or image please. So dirty and classy at the same time, I think youcould lose the *cocks* too. Reword those lines and the flag goes up.

If I were an egyptologist I would say that this poem is the 'ka' of "Waking Ned Devine". I get the same smirky nostalgic feeling for a culture that once was mine.
