Shuushin
on some deleted poem

This does have a clean feel about it -
The line break at blade... and broken stars shining... I stuggle, within the poem's easy flow, to make sense of it.
You've got four senses here, I think that adds to the appeal. I'm not sure what it means, but I like the impression it leaves with me.
I see "broken heart" and I get immediately jaded, I'm sorry for that.
As I've been recently reminded - it's in the showing, not the telling; this just tells me "I'm lonely because I have a broken heart". See, I saved you fifty words.
Perhaps focusing on the echo of lonliness? But even that is pretty telling. Some way to show the echo within the cavity of a shattered rib cage?? The section with that is kindof cool.
There is no proven direct correlation between the possesion of arms and the quality of one's poetry.
excuse me, but it should be "...[aint] got [no] arms."
It's actually a good start to something (I can think of many more reasons why you/we all suck). And, well, it kinda rhymes - so it must be good.
actually, some here suck for the financial gain.
you could have subbed it under pimple, tint.
i see your reluctance to reveal this. sometimes i just have to flush the obvious out of my system. consider this the assymetry in your oeuvre.

mr pig?
"I an't smart enough for this one," I croak under my stump.
I very much liked the last line. I do not know how to be nice about this. I am some what bothered. Reflections I get are that this is just one bitch of a sad world. No one likes anyone, except in memories of fondly inflicted wounds. Stab and grind and punch. Mayhaps you'll find a new Love by lunch?
overall pleasing in its malefic intent.
my opinions, if you will permit me to suggest a few tweaks:
spiral implies 'around', so,
'Twist a whimsied spiral down' would suffice.
also, 'The hanging of a garden abounding with allure'
is a clumsy phrase. make it leaner.
[alluring and abundant, a hanging garden...or something]
'watch we' --tricksy inversion prickles me.
'It itself did engage'--again, a little awkward
'gametic knife'--the heart of the poem, succintly captured. bravo.
good work.

your friend,
doug
Doesn't the fourth line have one too many syllables? Apart from that, a modern masterpiece.
Nice work. However, I saw a picture of a Catasetum that looked short and stocky, rather than smooth and slender. The smooth and slender/spiralling tendrils reminds me more of the ghost orchid in that movie, "Adaptation". What did the French "la Fleur" add to the poem?
I read the
whole
thing and as
I neared the end I
began to panic,
because I could
feel my time
to make some sense
of it all
running out.
It does however, have some engaging language in the flashback about the garden - that's a nice snapshot.
