Please tell me. Do you actually believe that 'ur' is the spelling of that word?

If we don't go to war then it just means that thousands of Iraqis are going to be killed by Saddam in the near future, whereas going to war will mean a few people of many nations will die in the coming days or weeks. Which sounds more appealing? I don't mean at all to sound like I support Bush and Blair in this because I don't believe that their honest reason is the welfare of innocent Iraqis and the bringing to justice of Saddam-I'm sure that the oil controls their thoughts. However, we'll just have to wait and see. I do like the poem though. 8
Good topical, socio-political poem, Jrm. It matters not how ridiculous antiwar protesters look, I'm more interested in their collective perspective for America and the world than that of Rumsfeld and Wolfowitz.
Yes, Yes, quite true. I was hoping for the hippie ways of sex, drugs, and peace to come back and say "hell no we won't go!" but no. -10-

thepinkbunnyofdoom on A Little Peace by intheailse 21 Mar 2003, 12:35 PM
Drivel. oh umm... no... wait... Yeah, just plain drivel. There just isn't anything here. Not trying to be mean but you are way too vague. Who do you want to kiss your eyes? What are you afraid of the dark? Are you just trying to be confusing and pointless in your second stanza? A little peace of/from what? When your poem answers those questions (Or at least some of them) then I'll try and rate you better. For now (hopefully without hard feelings) I give this a -3-. Rewrite it and I'll be happy to give you a higher score.

I like the ryhme scheme. Plus the flow of the words isn't that bad. Fairly good. -7-
Do you mean 'in your hand is my heart'. Good other than that. -8-

Its sorta overly redundant in places like 'smell your sweet smell' and 'thank god;god has let us recieve'. I like this. -8- P.S. You might want to fix your typos before anyone else rates this (trust me people do take off for that here).
All depends on the artist and how well they hide the piece of art in question.

ya know dark, I agree with you on alot of that, I may be a mediocre poet but i, like yourself didnt write anything before I found this site. I needed a way to get stuff out, I viewed poetry like an outlet of sorts. But ive found that poetry is so much more than that now. I guess one of the reasons I got so mad was becuase recently my friend and uncle died at the same time, I had no way of saying how I felt so I posted some mindless words and thought people would relate, but after I came back from the funeral that night I checked the site and the first comments were "Move the F*ck on with your life" "this is the worst poem I have ever heard" I was so freeking mad, but how did they know what was going on, how could I expect people to care. I cant, people live and die all the time I cant expect everyone to sympathize. If this sounds like im being sarcastic, im not. And when I said "give people respect" I just meant not to be so hard, you never know whats going on in peoples lives, but then again who cares, who cares that you have problems, who cares if their about to commit suicide or about to shoot up their school. The point is people need to care, people get pushed to the edge by guys like yourself, you know your good at poetry and you make sure that everyone knows it. people like myself wont let you stop me. from now on ill take the comments and the abuse cause i dont "think" I have potential, I KNOW it and ill keep trying and ill keep getting better. And its all because of you, because you "know" ill fail, im determined not to.

Swap lines 5 and 6 and merge them. You have great potential, especially starting at such a young age. If this fulfills you, and puts a smile on your face, then continue to work at it. (9) I think you're close here. Very close.

Still a few grammatical errors but nowhere near as many as I usually make. Don't let D.A. get under ur skin, He thinks he knows everything. -9- and half If I could give one.
