Heh, keep up the good work
If it was a proper poem I might actually consider voting... but in the same vein as our good friend Nicholas Jones, it seems you don't recognise that you won't be able to gather support for your abolitionist cause unless you put some effort into it.try harder.
Argh, do I laugh hysterically and vote you a ten or do I think "racist American" and vote zero? I dunno, I think I'll go for "Do bugger all". Yes, that works.
Utterly pointless and completely insulting;but i suppose that was what you intended anyway.people kill people, not religion, its simply our interpretation that makes all the difference
So we kicked the shit out of him and hit him hard in the head with our bong, man. Then the police came and said the dude was dead.

Well, having little philosophical knowledge I don't have anything against this, actually I think its pretty good, even if a few stanzas do grate a little.
If I was single I'd ask you out to skim some stones across a bay of crying seagulls and rip my heart open so you could see your reflection. This is so beautiful, and so are you, this has made me feel hopeful, happy, sad, complex, Horus would love this i'm sure ^10^
Very nice indeed, especially the last line; physical bodily processes have their effect on psychology - President Nasser nationalised the Suez Canal because he had toothache, or something. I like soup, especially tomato, but I a bagel for lunch today, which I filled with brie and put in a hot oven for fifteen minutes, and ate with cranberry sauce.
Erm, haikus have seventeen syllables, or so I thought...perhaps if you did "She rode naked/Wearing only chastity/Peeping Tom lost his eyes" then it would work-although I admit it loses the gist of what the poem's about. I'll get back to you if I can think of anything that might help. Even so, I like the ideas-I won't vote yet, I'll see how it turns out.
Hello Professor Doug - this isn't really a haiku, but who cares? There should be more religious verse on poemranker. Maybe I will try to write some.
First off let me say I liked this, the message was sincere and its nice to see a heartfelt rather than academic way of writing about what you did.
However it does read more like a newspaper column than a poem, the last 3 lines have no happily ever after and you have achieved what you set out to do making me reflect on the flaws of human nature. **********8********
This could blow me away but some of the lines are far too gay. I have put them below and highlighted in CAPS the words that annotyed me. I really want to be selfish and for you to do a version for me coz other than those lines i liked this.
***************************
this mysterious TREAT.
The sky ABOVE CAN BE DARK AND GREY,
but this flower IS SO BEAUTIFUL,
it will LIGHT UP ANY DAY.
I have some ideas, when you say dark and grey sky, it is not really very imaginative so say something like 'Skylines of sorrow will be sunshine tomorrow' thats still gay isn't it? just get rid of those lines or I wont sleep tonight, I'll be rude to everyone and it will be all your fault, just try and give those lines more oommph, e.g you could say 'the sky is red' or you could say...the sky was drowning in its sun scorched plasma clouds, its got more je ne sais qui , I've just drank 3 cups of costa rican and eaten a mars bar so i'm going coz i'm pissing myself off and must begin the self mutilation.
On the poem its not your best to be honest but you score a 6, even your less impounding works are not bad
Yeah, big it up, homiez...IT'S SHITE! AAAARRRRGGGGHHHH!!!!!!
NOUGHTS AND MORE NOUGHTS TO YOU ALL!!!!!!!!!

Hey I actually liked it.... I kind of got lost on the 2nd and 3rd lines of stanza 4 though... and it reminded me more of a circus or a fair than a playground... but maybe I'm merely far too literal.... But not that bad.
What dark days we live in...10
Ewww, you dirty bastard! Bad doggy, bad!
I met an old guy in France who was a soldier many years before. He spoke better English than most Englishmen.
Wtf?
