The barn owl and the tawny owl - they're the main two.
Did you conjure this while skateboarding?
Wow. And ouch. This is terrific. I love its spareness and immediacy; also, the internal rhyming and the double meaning of "mean." Agree with you re: doubling "it's nothing"--a person, reacting, would surely have said it twice, dazed.
Was this originally "the weight of your words"? I think I'd prefer the "your"--"those" seems too removed.
Have a 10 for your pains.
i remebered to vote. were you listening to the Pixies when you wrote this shit? chien andalou?
If you're going to flood the site with this crap, then please do not call it haiku. Maybe free verse, or how about "a random thought I woke up with this morning."
Nentman, add that one to the list.
The bit about the dirty joke is good, but I don't think you need the last two lines. It would be better left to just tail off, like your relationship.
I don't know if it's really lives up to the sacred heights of the haiku, but it is an insight into the mullet-wearer's psyche and invaluable for that reason.
Enjoyable, but without wanting to sound vacuous, what the f*** has this gotta do with M.B
Does it all have to be in capitals? I feel like I'm being shouted at. Quite like the poem though.
pretty good CLG, but check paragraphs 2/4 for errors as it kills the vibe your trying to emanate
The last three lines carry a great burden very gracefully. I wonder a bit at the variation in rhyme scheme between end end of s 1 and the of s2, but that's just the pernickety formalist in me trying to get out. The main thing is you got a sensitive comment from Bachus - that is all the praise you will ever need. Well done.
IN MY DREAMS, BALTHUS STILL RAPES ME
PLEASE EXCUSE HIM - HE'S WELSH.
Fantastic - 10! Cleverdevice strikes again!!! :)
Bravo, tovarisch! Another well-aimed blow at the soft underbelly of the education system!
what the fuck is this shit? is someone taking a class in gaelic (is that what this is?) and writing poems from the dictionary? is poetry supposed to convey something to the reader? know why i'm asking?
translation please?
yes...at last...
i agree with chrisof
Nicely Constructed, philosophical, liked the line 'too content in the moment'
