I don't understand the second line, and scribbles/quibbles might be a bit forced, but I like this poem, especially "Piling things around Me, in squares, and Suspensions."

Ok, yeah, I like this. Much better than the Pirate thing.

Are you decomposing in that lye in your bed?

This starts as a beautifully written nature poem, with the freshness of a new convert, but it sinks as nature does to its beginnings. I think you need a long stroll in the rose and camellia gardens of the Huntington Library. I hear they’re lovely this time of year.

It's got a couple small holes. I'm optimistic.

What means "up utensils I indulge in" or "me a plate of food?" I guess you can't start reading just anywhere and have it make sense. However, in some African countries or on a plane wreck in the Andes, "me a plate of food" does work.

Nicely put.

I can picture it . Since it happens so quickly, lose the commas.

In free verse each line should always be semi-independent from the preceeding text i.e. it should stand on its own, therefore the instructions should be to you not the reader. Other than that be wary of using labels for abstractions 'mental formulations' 'volition'. It is always better to show than tell.

Are you trying to prove that your poetry sucks. To what lengths will you go to avoid kuddos?
Re: The Plane of War by MacFrantic Dovina 12.72.4.56 21-Feb-05/7:52 AM
War is bad. We know that, and unless a poem presents something unusual about it, the thing falls flat.

cute. verging on limerick. seems more like a DA poem, minus the aids, prawns, and feces.

That description is not much use. But if you are serious about them having more poems than you have ever seen, go to the users page click on poems at the top to sort users by number of poems and check through see if you recognize any names. It may have been Christof or poetandknowit or edpeterson I guess.

Could this be the one that gets me into the bottom twenty? Then and only then can I feel comfortable calling myself a true "poet". Until then, I carry an upturned schnoz.

There is something excessively fat about your ass, and it's not your thong.
