"Mr Bloom walked unheeded along his grove by saddened angels, crosses, broken pillars, family vaults, stone hopes praying with upcast eyes, old Ireland's hearts and hands. More sensible to spend the money on some charity for the living." There, a piece of Joyce is read, probably enough. I'll start on the bathroom light, then sort by author. By the time you're back from the hospital, we'll be nearly done.

Sounds like a lover's quarrel with this site. In that spirit, You're telling me not showing me. Who made that reprobate Bukowski god? In line 5 try replacing dismayed with repulsed (what is the opposite of seduced?).-9-

Yes, on singing your heart out. Like the irony of fools doing it too, or only, who cares. Nice.

"assume big joy and nothing at all" great line. A flat ball. A wet newspaper. Some broken glass. My daughter All things ruined? As the poem continues, I feel resolution approaching. The end confirms my feelings. It lit the gasoline fumes and exploded for me. I think I need a cigarette. -10-

Fun to imagine as one reads, sees the threesome walking along, the caddy asking question after question while Tiger gets annoyed and Ari smiles at his old teacher's complete lack of golf etiquette.

Do you think "The Clash" was at fault? Hard to decipher.

Re: The Poem Without an End Working Towards the Beginning by TheVoiceless Quarton 12.217.221.61 29-Jun-04/11:30 AM
This is mostly incoherent and rambles too much. Did you write it as a stream consciousness? (James Joyce wrote Ulysses with this technique) Perhaps you might take this and shorten for I believe it has some good ideas and concepts. I like the concept of no end in searching for the beginning. An example for the last line: "The end becomes infinite in my quest for the beginning" I do like the line: "Something to lay my mind to rest, giving it reason to ease." Quite lovely and consider deleting the obscenities. They, IMO, detract from the poem and its potential.

Great start to your poem. If possible add more detail. I am working on detail in my poems as well. Keep the work up.
