I know those 3 under different terms all offering joy and hope
I don't know why you have been flagged as a plagiarizer, don't want to know, and have not read any of your other poems, and don't know why Dark Angel is down on you; but then he's down on me too.
This poem is good! Except that if you were perfect, you wouldn't have to look for the cheapest gas.
Moore's Proof of the existence of an external world:
- expose your right buttock
- say "here is a buttock"
- expose your left buttock
- say "here is a buttock"
- it follows that there are at least two material objects in the world
- so there is an external world

Whatever. X = -X is by far the most frequently-occuring poemranker theme. Yours, while interesting, is hugely outnumbered and fails.
Furthermore, buncombe. Mine is Moore's Paradox. Yours is Zodiac's Utter Failure.
"You're gay" <-> (((P -> Q) -> P) -> P)
"You're gay, but X"
"I should X, but I don't."
Much better are propositions of the form "P, but I don't believe that P."
Do you think Johnny Cash singing a cover of Nine Inch Nails' "Hurt" is the funniest thing ever, or the coolest thing ever?

I propose that any theme which can be formulated X = -X is nice. If poemranker ever becomes a literary movement - and I've no doubt it will - it will be characterized by its endless and increasingly unrealistic iterations of X = -X themes. Mark my words.
On a humorical note, it's funny. The earnestness however, suggests a health issue. I'm confused.
Oh yes, now I see -- our imperfections are what make us special, what make us human... what make us capable of love.
You just keep telling yourself that, you second-rate failure.
lovely
You need to make peace with your mother.
Only then can you be a good father.
Thanx Hyp. to-get-her is how you remember to spell together of course B^) A mild oddity that I needed to express.
Third stanza doesn't need to be there in my opinion. Love it anyway.
A funny and clever putting together of sayings and cliches.
If you regret us to-get-her ??
Than leave like a tree -> Then leave like a tree
Bwahahahahahaha. Beyond classic.
