Joe-joe replying on A spectacular poem by a handsome man by <{Baba^Yaga}> 30 Sep 2003, 3:16 PM
This one had me going until the last verse..you may not have crashed the car but your reference to "the consevative majority" (do you mean the "moral majority") was totally out of context and..in the end...sent this fine piece of work into a deadly tailspin. (was a 9...ended up a 6 1/2)
i actually liked this...im gonna check out the rest of ur stuff..

JB, Right on my brother...couldn't have said it any better myself!

Smelling one's urine and examining one's poo is an ancient art practiced by many in order to moniter health. Therefore, you're right.
How might I ask did this piece of shit get a ten?

Dave, Career? What fucking career? Poetry is not my career. And I certainly have not developed a level of skill that would warrant anyone referring to me as a "Poet". It's a hobby i just started. I'm not competing with you or anyone else on this site. You on the other had are living in a fantacy world...a world in which you play the role of a gifted "Artiest", a true "Poet" . I'm pissing in my pants as we speak. Think you're a smart ass running around crowning people on this site with "0's". Davey oh Davey what a true knucklehead you are. But I love ya anyway!

No, I don't care if you like it or not, but you always manage some trite remark about everything, which I don't think is necessary. It seems that a lot of the regulars on this site are pretty freaking stuck on themselves or maybe you're all just totally insecure in your lives and this site is the only place where you can take out your arrogant frustrations on people, either way, it's unbecoming of intelligent people, if you ask me.Why don't you try offering suggestions of improvement if you see room for some? If you're such an expert.

great clarity, you are obviously a man who has no trouble grappling with your immense intellect.

the last one, I seem to forget what you were supposed to rhyme the last line with. Other than that good rhythm, and in the spirit of a limerick
I like the simplicity.
their should be they're. good use of rhythm.

actually, as far as who asked for my opinion, the poster of this poem did. That's why everybody posts here, right? to get the opinions of others. what a dumb thing to ask. no need to be nasty. By the way, I checked the profile - said "10th grade"...so I was off by a year or three. Big woop. I pegged the juvenile. and that's OK. We all start somewhere. Kudos to the poster for being brave enough to swim in these waters.
A fine example to any aspiring young poets. -10-

Do you examine your stools in the bowl? I was once having a conversation about it, and three of my friends all said they did this, and they thought I was really weird for not doing. Who is right? N.B. -10-
This poem is just a shameless cash-in on the popularity of AIDS. -0-

I can't decide whether the second line is brilliant or the most idiotic thing I've read in the last twenty-four hours.
