Hmm, thats two in a row talking about cutting. Actually, regarding the line "Proves that I am still alive, But provides absolutely no comfort.": People who self-mutilate often do it because it is a comfort to them. It makes them feel in control and takes their mind off of depression (or whatever other minor thing going wrong in their life that they percieve to be of major significance). So, in all actuality, they do recieve comfort from this act and will oftentimes tell you that it feels good. Of course, I may be misinterpreting this entire thing. In which case please just consider this an uninteresting tidbit of information.
