regarding some deleted poem... some deleted user 68.66.196.168 4-May-04/6:39 PM
I really dislike the title. egret is a good play on regret, but why not do it within the poem and spare us wondering right away what you are sputtering about. Otherwise good.

It rings like a haiku, and maybe could be a haiku of many verses. Just a thought.

Nauseating alliteration would probably improve the second verse. In all other ways this poem was like reading a used nappy.

Nice one! Another great use of a form. The repetition with the driving and the smoking and the reading works really well with this travelog feel. A well-deserved Ten.

"fatigue is my color." - very very good. There are so many standard set pieces in here though, I can't decide if its giving it a classic, or a tired feel. Hmmm... That line though, love that.

Strong stuff. Too strong maybe; such a thing may exist. (I'm put off a bit by the language.)

Good poem about california toilets, though i am not so sure the subject matter really reflects the title.

ANybody who curses at the cubs gets an automatic 10. though this was a very good poem on its own.

10 for "fatigue is my color". There are so many things about this poem I'd change if it were mine; that line isn't one of them.

Speaking of those Idol shows, Ben Folds' "Army" is a great model for anyone trying to write ace pop songs. Bjork's "Army of Me" is not.
