richa on The Ode of Human Life by ShaNoN+960317485 14 Nov 2003, 7:39 AM
I like the way you get this poem to flow out of such long lines. The only pick is that it is a little too eclectic in the images it throws in rather than building up a central metaphor.

A bit self absorbed are we?

TWELVE (at this moment) blue zeros - a pre-emptive strike apparently - and a sad one; losers. have a ten.

675? Close enough I guess. blessed with 4. Oh, and not to be rude.. but your nick makes mine seem smashin, really- I can't keep from giggling everytime I read "new age poet" since the first thought that pops up in my head is: "whats that? virgin hippies meet MDMA+pantheism?" No offense intended, just being liberal with my opinion.

I can appreciate the sentiment, but Crystal, the lyric of this poem really comes off like something a high school student would write. Sorry to be harsh, but I think you have a habit of selling yourself short with infintile rhetoric.

nice descriptions, think it needs a main character if you are going to go into his psyche though with lines such as 'left to cling to his indignant assertion'. Like the line breaks too
richa on Reflection by Judas kiss 14 Nov 2003, 11:29 AM
don't think you need doppelganger and reflection. 'Love yourself' at the best is a cliche, at worse a distraction. v1 fourth line doesn't make much sense. 'On a straight mirror you stretch the glass' is an interesting line I quite like.
I love it. I agree with Tranny. Marshmallow loses the fine wine flavor that permeates throughout the rest of the poem. Good one.
Dark Angel, my plan has worked, the ugly bearded man, and my minions have sent me to control the worst list. I have won the bet. As I suspected.

Quite lovely - I like, in particular, that second to last stanza.

Nice, but why 'they said the world is flat' would it not do without?

Who are they? And Why should I care? 7. Other than that well written. If by 'they' you meant elders? Or schools in general those days, than all the finer.

Are your poems recieving 0's or 10's. Because every one of my poems all day have been being systematically mangled with 0's and if yours are being hit with tens. Then you my friend are a dick face, and are rockmage and sliver.
