on She Thinks Of Men Waiting by Christof

But you were also commenting on my conversation with Christof. Why?
Why do you care enough to comment?
hahahaha. funny for a sec. and then, stupid.
Has poetry really been reduced to using emos? This sucks!
Wow peace, Please don't hurt me-10/10
"Neon light in betrayal." Missed it with that one and makes the poem...well...rubbish. and why not put this under god or alex? Or is ben your outlet for crap?
Do you what naive means? Your poems are naive to a fault, and you try to make up for it by being "poetic". I want to give you advice but your not ready for it. Read. Read all the books your parents won't want you to read. Hang out with the wrong crowd.
Because it is cute and endearing and in a public place and I am ugly and a hater of the ugly children.
oh come on, you're an educated man. You know everybody wants to go to bed with everybody else. They're lined up for blocks. I'll go to bed with you they won't miss us.
well, almost. but i am a painter, and if i missed a stroke, i'd rub it out and repaint it or if it was dry by the time i saw it could be better, i'd overpaint it when it dried. michaelangelo repainted certain parts of the ceiling in the cistine chapel several time (esp. the hands of god and man); many many paintings upon examination (x-ray, cleaning) are found to have been changed from their original composition. this is what makes someone better--seeing how they can improve, and taking every opportunity to do so. i'm not trying to be 'right'; i recognize that you had something to say. if you feel like this was a learning piece, somnething to be looked back on as in, 'see how far i've come', why did you put it here? why not put up new experiments? and think on what others who actively write have to say? off the soapbox now.
Another poem conceived while sitting on the toilet in the fog of constipation, eh?
Oh Chrsitof, kiss, kiss, coverer of bridges and rocks with colored cloth, kiss, kiss, I carry your words with me into the shower each morn and watch the "rising". Please lets run away into some library and have a deep dark literary journey, just like the one in Byatt. Kiss, Kiss. Smooch, smooch. Nice poem, made it all the way through without wandering in the middle trying to out metaphor yourself. This one succeeds and I like. I am going to the shower now, baby!!
And not to be picky, but I do not like the sound of the contraction at the end. they'll. I read it with "they will" and liked the sound and flow better, but hey that is me...off to the shower with this ringing in my head.
This is not a nice poeme. You are not a nice person. (Great comment though, nacitar!!!!) Let's start with the title, shall we? After reading this poeme, I realised that it could have one of only three possible titles: 1) Wandering thoughts(2) 2) untitled 3) The Magical Adventures of Dave AIDS and the three AIDSkateers. Why? Because it's an utterly predictable collection of meaningless platitudes. It's not profound or interesting. It's trite. I don't like it! I don't like it one bit! Anyone who wrote such a poeme would have difficulty giving it a title because it's just a load of random, teenage bollocks. Most people would just call it 'untitled' because they think work that is vague and meaningless is so profound that it defies any sort of label. Besides, poemes that are called 'untitled' are bound to be special, aren't they? However, "Wandering thoughts(2)" is at least an accurate title, if only because this piece must have been the product of a feeble, unfocused mind. What were you trying to achieve? Did you think you would be taking us on a roller-coaster-ride-of-discovery through your many beautiful thoughts, feelings and emotions? Do you want to know what I think? You haven't been praying to Jesu enough, have you! Do you go to church? Have you been saved? Do you know Jesu? I suggest you start now, lest there be weeping and gnashing of teeth. Thank you and God bless.
ah, p&k, my old adversary--mybe he is moving way above my head. maybe i just think he's capable of more, and pointed out things i found weak in this piece. and, no, i don't think it's about ogling waitress cleavage or ABOUT the feeling in one's skin--these were observations i made about the state of the protagonist in this poem. what's up p&k? why so bristly?
I was commenting on the poem. And giving Christof, the highest of praise. Many of his other poems wandered a bit trying to be too heady. Simple subjects deserve heady treatment, but make sure all the cogs are there. I am not simply going to mush, mush, kiss, kiss, over poetry that looks good on paper, but upon a closer look, needs a bit of tuning.
let me explain myself better, after i apologize for apparently coming off egotistical, but i do not find myself up on a higher plain than anyone else...lets compare...if i was a painter and i messed up a stroke, i wouldn't start a new painting from scratch, i'd just go with it and see what comes out...thats the way i write. when i put too much thought into things they get messed up, so i write and just let whatever comes out...as i've stated, this was the FIRST poem i ever tried to right, and i'm actually not too fond of it, but i really don't like to go back and fix it because of the emotion it portrays to me, as if i was pretending to be happy when i was sad...i have no idea if any of this made sense, but this is the long, more detailed explanation of my thoughts. now, we continue our tour...
I am not afraid of letting it all hang out under one sign. Keep it simple. Plus, all my work is genius (i.e. poetandknowit), so no reason to hide crap someplace else. There is none. I don't see how you multifaceted folks keep it all together. Too many user manes, to many passwords.
mainly yes-what's yours
Painters paint over there mistakes, they don't see were it goes.
