Could I make a request?? Next time you rate a zero on a poem, kindly leave a small comment that describes what you hated about the poem, why it sucked and why did it deserve a zero. Every poet works hard on a poem and so they never think they deserve a zero...

"Love" means many things in English. I wish we had all the Greek words with their different meanings for what we lump into "love." "Agape" comes close to your poem. Some folks are hard to love by any definition.

If you know for certain that I didn't hear kids worrying about going to hell and that I heard it from Pascal, then you are delusional, or my strict religious upbringing was all an illusion. Whatever. I think the poem holds together on an emotional level for some who have struggled with religious belief and what it means. I am not strongly Buddhist or Taoist, but appreciate some of their philosophies. Someday I’ll figure out how you can be so confident in knowing what I think and believe.

Yoda says all kinds of grammatically correct things, like "Ah, father. Powerful Jedi was he, powerful Jedi." and "it is much easier to spend time writing comments to poems than actual poems" - stuff like that. -no cookie jar-

WELL, I responded - but I think she will too, since I didn't get the comment emailed to me; she prolly did.

Crap. All of these comments are meant for Dovina. Now Shuushin will respond and she'll never know.

Incidentally, this poem doesn't really hold together.

You didn't hear kids saying that, you heard Pascal. Are you a Buddhist?

Do you know the Johnny Cash song "Ride On"? I think this poem strongly resembles it in that they both provoke the strongest disbelief (on my part) at the notion of either of you being closer to war than Texas. You fail. Drop and give me forty. -0-

You seem to have no idea about Yoda's usual syntax. "A powerful Jedi is he" is grammatically workable; therefore, Yoda would have said "A powerful Jedi he is" or, even better, "he powerful a is Jedi." -No cookie-

Bow'ls, all of you. And you're all missing one very important detail. A cookie to whomever guesses right.

Why can't you just admit that a belch can be, and indeed often is, weak?

As far as you are concern. You are not married, so you don't know how to treat him until it happens to you. Don't let your imagination run wild, besides he can't do no more than she let him do. Sure you would want to kill him, but would you kill her to? my son!

Suppose a man mess around with your wife. Do you treat him justly? my father!
