very good i like it
I don't want you to leave. I want you to post another leaving rant, storm off in a huff, then come back again, then post another poeme full of ellipses, then be mocked to the point of lunacy, then reply to all the abuse with "Your Friend, Doug" as you desperately try to rise above all the immaturity on this site, then have another breakdown, then post a leaving rant, then storm off in a huff, then come back again, then write a poeme about 'the cognitive dissonance which may well be an inherent part of trying to rationally justify why one who has lived a life of moral excellence, yet who is unsaved, "should be expected to" spend an eternity in Hell', then collapse in a giant shower of guff and pulped yams. And I want you to keep doing that. But that's merely for my own amusement, and perhaps not in your own best interest. For pity's sake, doug: we both know I'm not trying to help you become a better poete. If you do become a better poete, then that is incidental. All I care about is issues.

Dear Dark Angel: Well.......... That's a very good question indeed. As you seem to be implying that it would be best for me to no longer post my poems on the poemranker site. However, because of the apparent lack of quality (or perhaps as you might say, "the sorryness or the obvious lameness") of my pieces, I have no other place to go; no other place "that would have me." Even though it is extremely obvious that I have no ability to write poetry, I would like to have the opportunity to keep trying..... although I am sure that given all the time in the world before I die, I'll likely improve very little. I don't know what to do.......... I know that you would like for me to opt out of The Poemranker Site (And I am sorry that I have been such a pain to you and have been such a drag on the site itself), but I am going to try to keep doing my best anyway. And please do remember, that I always appreciate your honest attempts to help me to do better! Thank you very much. Your Friend, Doug Soderstrom

Permanent solution to temporary situation. May I have your shotgun when you're finished, Kurt?

i wouldn't say you are emo droppings, but that does seem more posed than honest. it is poetry, not lit class.

you've done better, and without comma splices. some phrases were very good, and i liked the feel of the poem, but've seen/read a LOT of Lord of the Rings in the past few days and was reminded too much of it. And a comic book called 'sandman'. Anyway, I usually like your stuff but this didn't do it for me.

The Kitchen ( A Free curse) By Capt. Napkin Fat eyes pleading Plump hands reaching out Obese gravy stuffed dumplings Lifeless Pugeot smells of life drinking spirits Plummish smells of deaf defeated pots and pans Old crapes on sheets, old flour on him Nectarine hair, bloating rumps "The illusion of health and food full bellies"? A cornucopia of...Corn... Starving for pop Still clinging to aluminum, clamoring for salt "The smell of death I met miles outside"? Inside, the Kitchen gleamed with new dishes to break my momma tongue against like a wounded seal on the dingy of infidelity, and a filthy floor.

There is so much more wrong with Americans and their perceptions of what life is all about - oh do tell more.
That was a skid mark, really, did the world lie to you son? Pull up your britches, and learn to lie better.
