And there was a lot more to it than Heston's "Liking guns." He's the president of the NRA.

Yes, Marilyn started the idea about advertising projecting fear to incourage consumption. The Heston bit was pretty damn funny, if you ask me. On the DVD set Michael tells you that Heston's people wouldn't let him off of the property, so he threw the film over the gate to his driver. Pretty funny stuff.

Dreamer, I just reread the piece..I thought it said.."could walk through walls". It does dramatically change the meaning..but still good.

your phrase just reminded me of something I heard one time that I thought was an interesting phrase. So I posted it. No connection really.

This is very good. Interesting how this piece might be interpreted. Some might say that the poor chap in question is a fool who cannot accept reality and spends his life running in place (and into walls!!!) On the other had, and this is how I see it, the chap here is a visionary who is not afraid to think out of the box. He does not shrug his shoulders and say "that's just the way it is, you can't do anything aobut it" Now, for sure this person is going to get more than his share of lumps in his life. He will need to be strong because he will oftenb fail and will often be the subject of ridicule and criticism. But here's the catch..every person whose ever accomplished anything truely great in their lives has approcahed the world in this manner. Perhaps I've taken this piece way beyond it's intended destination....that's just the way it touched me. Really enjoyed it! -10-

No, not by the lies in your poem. It's just like being an Iron Maiden fan for five albums and suddenly they put out some crap like "Somewhere In Time". THAT kind of "decieved". Lived in Matheson and attended RM as a teen. Had to bike to Porcupine cause there were very few girls in Matheson. I fear for you because this new poem leans in a very "done" style that I've been seeing on transit systems across Canada for the last 2 or 3 years. (It must be a Canada Council initiative... did you get a grant (read;bribe) to write this?) Anyway there's dope -I mean Hope for you yet - to bring your poetry standards back up, that is. Not for your team to get the cup. Many years of Harold Ballard karma to work off in that doomed city!!! This Zamboni driver prefers rye and water (how northern ON) but I can settle on a pint of Alex Kieths if it's not kocher to let the lumberjack out! What is ASL? I just found out what LOL is. You can call me Evan.

Joe... I was joking along with you? email me your email and I'll send you my latest book and you can read that and decide whether or not I succeded in putting together a collection of pieces that are a little more...Ah, deserving of both of our attentions.

Horus, I did take you up on your chalenge and visited the sites noted above. To be frank with you..your music does not appeal to me in the least..to gloomy for me. But that does not mean that is not good...it's just not for me. More importantly, I do respect you for your passion and your willingness to get off your ass and put it out there. So many people talk about their dreams and never do a damned thing to make it happen. You are obviously serious about your craft! Good for you. Now a little about your bio..Why are you so hung upon this Middle American thing. I think you have a very naive view of things. A pre-occupation with work....the need to [provide for the necessities of life have preocupied man since the beginning of time. We are not opressed because we have to work. This system of ours that you seem so critical of has, to a large degree, freed us from a 24-7 concern about basic material needs. That's why art has taken on such a dominent role in our society. We can afford to pay people to sing, dance, write, and act. Maybe the guys you were hanging with at the bar had it all right and you are the one with the clouded point of view. I know I'm rambling...I've just heard too much of the "anti-system" shit in my day...al of the explanations are just so skewed and oversimplified. Anyway, like I said..I really admire you for your go get em attitude. Keep it up...I hope you find what you're looking for.

not sure about the rhyme at the end of each verse, too many words seem to interfere in between, such as whom and you. overall pleasant,

the moral of the story? I guess that you should not have given away the suit. If you have no use for a suit ther is precious little point in keeping it even if it does fit well. That electric chair is damn comfy. The poem I found flowed well but seemed a little odd.

Well ,I liked it. P&K, nice to see you at the top of your pathetic form, in the pissant groove and all. In the beer section, I dig a wheat beer microbrewed at the favourite bar of limonade and I. She likes the dark 'n' bitter herself.

I can't belive this poem is nearly a year old. My God, how time has flown. Now looky here, you've still not come over to England like you were supposed to. Why not?

I meant not offense. I think sometimes we just throw stuff "out there" without much thought. Maybe ist's a product of boredom or a need for attention...I know how good your work can be and just don't feel this piece is representative of your talents. And Horus, we all have our talents...no need for self-indulging proclaimations here... P.S the last three lines of your comment above illustrates my point.
Joe-joe replying on Fuck your fucking face monkey fucker by Bachus 3 Oct 2003, 4:30 AM
I'm missing the connection here...but your statement is true. You get a b- for your insight..would have been a straight A if it had relevence.

This sure is swell.
I don't know what the fuck this means, but it's ace.
