Why don't you write more? It's great therapy...if nothing else.

Bachus replying on Karma by blankel 27 Aug 2003, 2:50 PM
You don't think karma is real, but you're a Sufi? Are you sure? Or maybe not? Do a lot of things go over your head? Or is that mentally impossible? Do you like carrots? Is big foot really in possession of abnormally large feet? Is it easier to measurea stars magnitude or an earthquakes. If you've attempted to answer any of these questions mentally, to yourself, before reaching this question, do not fret, I really am not that interested in your answers.
It was good. Well good enough to get asked back, but now I know how Buckley felt as a one man with an amp. People just have very short attention spans unless you're really cramming it up their asses at eleven. I need to put together a really good band especially in the rhythm area. A strong three piece like the toadies or other good three piece bands we wont mention (Nirvanaaaaaaa). Or, a five piece with a lead guitarist and a good organ player. Who knows... I had fun, and I got a B plus on the write up so, as the saying goes, until the next show. Angels and dinosaurs and johny's jihad got the most as far as my songs go, in feedback from the audience, but it's because they're not intelligent enough to get the humor in songs like the crutchling or serial killer blues or at the circle k. Eventually, because I'm consistent and made of steel, someone will, and the machine will assimilate me, and then we'll have a good laugh, I suppose. As far as how I felt about it? I thought it was the best live show I've played yet. but I'm young still, I think?.

A precious observation of self. I would remove the date and end it like. "in this junkyard of bodies, hoping for an end to these means."

Garrett S Sexton on THE 7315 by Garrett S Sexton 27 Aug 2003, 11:28 AM
Reply to modest man You the reader were able to do all three. Firstly, you did understand it (at least to a degree maybe). Secondly, you were able to research it as you contacted me the author and have now acquired source info. Thirdly, you did dance with this poem as was my intention (while you tried to figure out what you already understood). Ans: I intend everything which is hidden, as well as blatant, in my poetry and writings. Ans: That is best left to the individual. Ans: However much one thinks they have free thought, free thought has a limit, thus forcing us to belong. There are many examples of this throughout history (see world history). Ans: If everyone attains true thought, unhinged and unadulterated, then there is no power. As for power one cannot be equal. Those that believe themselves free thinking up to our time almost always stick themselves in boxes and belong to groups (see world history) Ans: When one doesn't know how a trick works then it must seem like magic, like our forms of travel three thousand years ago. We don't give it a second thought, but to those then, like the true power of free thought it must have seemed unattainable and scary. PS. All the names used are real activists of free thought in their own right. Only one is personally know to me. Glad you enjoyed the poem. Hope my response has helped.
