I don't like many poems on this site. This one's not bad.8
'that horrible day
Remembering all those innocent people lost
The U.S. staying strong'
Of course, had all the innocent lives lost resulted in America becoming a feeble shivering wreck, it might just have been worth it.
I think the term 'Limerick' may have been copyrighted by someone else.
It is a verse where line 1,2,5 rhyme, and 3,4 rhyme.
okay, I was tolerating the expression because the meter is perfect up to stanza three.
I think, too, btw that you've just barely straddled the comfortable side of unforced rhyme - so, not bad in that regard.
Very good humor!
Your sense of humor is excellent.
Wonderful special as it may be, I think I'd rather have an order of pus filled ear blisters for an appetizer. Then cancerous hip lesions with a side of kneecaps, The intestine salad,no spleen please, a glass of Brut with a meniscal fluid chaser, and for dessert, a powdered donut. Up my nose. A bit of ground limestone on the salad please. Thank you.
So what you're saying is that you have a series of moral principles which determine your behaviour, but then you reveal that the only reason for following them is the practical concern of avoiding a stroke.
Often, I will wallow in the stench of my own gas. I'll protect myself and nostril flare me a force field of sheer french fried will.

Clang clan clonk bonk clink rattle thaboing.
I could care less that you people call me stupid or whatever and hate my poem. Just for your information not that it matters, but I'm only 14 years old. And I know that there are lots of more things going on in this world like people dying of AIDS and other things. It hurts me that they are. I do respect everything you all said.
Beware the Brick!
Bleu... I firmly agree with your sound stance on these most serious of subjects. I know first hand the tribulations and suffering that compounds one's ability to deal with reality while in the grips of denial. See, last week, my baboon came down with ebola Bleu, and the economy of my third world island? Collapsed, not to mention my poor perfect 90 year old grandmother is not perfect anymore since she caught aids from a botched hair transplant. Bleu, you are a poet and wise to fight the system so. You are a super trooper young man. A super! trooper. I however am drunk and moments away from being shot in front of a firing squad for squandering my peoples assets and fornicating with their livestock and sons and daughters. Forgive me Bleu.
