Not sure how you will get home following the stars. But anyway quite a good poem, the first two lines are a bit naff, but the half-rhyme of stars and home time sets the rhythm well. repetition of dreams and father could do with getting rid. Like the mention of immigrant boys/fathers shoes as it gives the poem a definite place

as a note, this is part of a "poem a day for 100 days" challenge. so if it's particularly lacking, that could be why. I'm posting the (probably 1/10 as things draw on) few that I think might have a chance at redemption.
