Sorry about your mom. I'm not looking forward to oncology next year. I hate cancer, terrible horrible smelly cancer. Are you and god'swife married? "Why would they be talking to each other on a website you dink", he asked himself. I noticed your personal webpage and just thought that sounds like something a husband would say. Ex-husband? No... impossible. You write fantastic poetry. It's very meaningful, yet simple. I need simple. Are you the resident grouch? Your poetry seem to be in conflict with your comments.
e.e. cummings meets the Reverend Jesse, ahhh I forgot his last name.

This is wonderful. I honestly think the "would have you here with me" lines in the first two stanzas weaken them--it's implicit in the "woulds" that he is not, and the penultimate lines are so strong it seems a shame not to let them stand. Maybe it's just me. Also, in the same vein, "badge of New England" is not as strong an image as "autumn's first blood" and seems to detract from it--you're winging south so must be north. I like the pun with Mercury.

Errr... I feel all dirty now. I don't have a car, around here there is now place to park anyway and every other day they clean the streets and everyone gets a $40.00 ticket. My room-mate had to park his car about 8 blocks away from the building once and when he woke up he couldn't remember where his car was. It tooks us 3 hours to find it. Yesterday I saw a bumper sticker that said 'Osama Bin Laden loves your SUV'.
why do u always spell poem and poet with an 'e' on the end? it makes u look like a pretentious prat. (or is that the whole idea?)

S-4 L-2, try "they are" blonde. A rythmic hiccup. A killer piece though. That's why I drive a big slow lumbering truck. ha!
What, may I ask, does it take to earn a Bachian swagger award?

"We are warm together"--yegods, that's perfect. You and that lovely, earthy simplicity, damn you. Up to your usual standard.
