Wierd. Some potential.
This is rather amusing. I hope that's not a bad comment.
I don't really care about Trakl and Baudelaire readng this - this is compact and punchy and expresses a huge story in one quatrain. The final clause is a real killer. Wish I'd written it.
'A broken spine of cloud' is genius. Sheer.
The fact that it actually sounds like a set of instructions makes it gain a lot. Quite wondrous. Cheers.
I like the structure of this - the way you look at a ring, stand back and look at the reasons why you had them made, and then go to close-up again - that distancing is crucial in establishing the regretful but resigned tone.
'The husk of your voice' is wonderful. I rather like this.
For Christ sake girl, blade is a 17 yr old who is gay!!!. Very scared as you send him e-mail!!!, when he prefers the guys. There is no chance that you could "hook" up with him, as he's always "busy". By the way your poems are good but obsessive!!! Also further more your personal details sound like you want 2 b a tennage porn star
But Maria does have a point - it's OK to dislkie someone's poem but people do go a bit crzy with abuse. That's just not necessary. AFter all, a person's only written a poem you don't like, they haven't petrol-bombed your house and drowned your kittens in a vat of teir own urine. But maybe I'm just saying this because Ealing isn't far from my home and I don't want Maria and Blade coming over to whack me.
This is rather amusing.
It is indeed frivolous and arch, but a bit too long. It's like Oscar Wilde after one creme de menthe too many.
I can't speak as intelligently as Christof yet,but I am impressed. I will be referring to this piece for my own improvements. thanks.9
-=Dark_Angel=- may like it, but all in all, he's much better at it than you are.
I like this - your verse is very musical. All your poetry has this precious quality; I think that you probably spend a lot of time polishing your words. Perhaps too much? It would be nice to see your verse breathe a bit more. Nonetheless, this is impressive.
Perfectly parked.
Jesus, by the time I'd read all the comments I'd forgotten what the poem was about. So I reread... good Viking stuff. May you bestirde Hrothgar, and all that.
Bestride. Sorry. My typing...
I like this but, you've got a bridge AND a fireplace.... I got a little lost somewhere.
You get many points for using light-years correctly. And more because it's good.
Yeah buddy!
