I like a good song and hate to complain in the middle of a hill-billy gittin-back-tagether tune, but if you remember all this in Verse 1, why don't you remember any of it in Verse 3? Do you call everything that you can't understand "Shakespearian"? It's poetic use of greek mythology... not too hard to follow, even if you don't know greek mytho, look up the gods mentioned and you should be able to gather the gist and direction of the arrow mam. Nothing personal, I'm no fan of Shakespeare either, but it's not the dreaded Achilles heel of my existence, Zeusian electric grudge aside, that it personifies that which bewilders me.
