Whenember would pull it off better, and I feel this is an Ode.
Dear PoemeRankers, This will be my last post on the website: www.poemeranker.com I came to this site, over one year ago, because poetry, for me at least, is the most powerful instrument for dealing with issues known to man. I was eager to showcase some of my finer works, and to learn from the many virtues and mastakes of the terrible poetes on this site. But the vile torrent of abuse that ensued can only be described as "unbelievably appalling". Still, I soldiered on. I continued to tackle the issues of the day with as much maturity and charisma as I could muster, bravely turning a blind eye to the perpetual onslaught of filth that bombarded my work on a fortnightly basis. "IDIOT", "HOMO", "DUNCE", "BALLS" - just some of the expletives I have had to endure, and for what? To have three of my poemes in the bottom 15. Pushed to the brink by the blundering efforts of bugger-loads of top notch dullards, I faced physical and emotional ruin. In a last ditch effort to extricate this site from the tangled web of immaturity that now runs wide rife, I wrote to nentwined (c.f http://www.poemranker.com/suggestion-browse.jsp?id=50725) demanding that a Maturity Award be purchased and presented, with immediate affect, to my good self. This award represented, in my opinion, the final bastion for what little maturity remained on PoemeRanker. My application was rejected. Whittled away to mere husk, I write to you now in my sixtieth year. The marauding criminals of www.poemeranker.com have had their fill, and my strength remains sapped like a massive nappy. My beloved Maturity Award has become the object of shame and ridicule at the hands of hooligans whose names don't bear mentioning here. There is little left to live for; this is the beginning of death. Let us pause and reflect a moment. A broken man stands alone in a field. The cool breeze billows pleasantly about his shining groin. He turns, naked, and walks into the distance. To follow would be folly; we can only stand and mourn the loss of the darkest of all poetes. "For I have sworn thee fair, and thought thee bright, who art as black as hell, as dark as night." We'll withdraw now, as he slowly disappears among the tall sheaves of rice.
You are briliant, dealing out these dada postcards. I truly love them.

Thanks for the advice.

Thanks..I just read that poem, per your advice. Bout the same thing happened to me at the beginning of May, except I didn't take the whole bottle, just most of it. I don't suggest ODing on pills...they make you drink charcoal and such. -_-

Yes, I am a psycho. If you did not wish to read the rest, then you should not have.

Thanks...I don't remember exactly but I think about 5 minutes or so. When I sit down and write I usually finish the poem right away and rarely change anything about it.

Whenevber isn't a typo. It's a created month. A combination of the ending of the last few months of the year and whenever. I don't know when I'll finally get the courage up to go. Til is a word. I feel that people say it instead of until often enough that I need not bother with the apostrophe. The other typo, thanks. I'll consider punctuation in a bit I don't mind the proofread. I actually like to have it addressed early. I still think you're putting too much focus on him though. Although he was a great guy and I still love him I've come to terms with his death. It might seem cold but I have. This is about the taking care of myself part of it. I do generally but this is one area that has been hard for me to deal with.

no, i understood, and feel for you in your grief. only time can replace the cut of expecting to see him come through that door, to hear his voice on the the line...only time will give that peace we all seek at such incontrovertible loss. but, grief aside, i am addressing the poem's error. forgive me if i seem crass in doing so. here are the 2 lines with typos: Presents with *ribions* and ugly bows, Use that strength *til* the 25th of *Whenevber* punctuation would help the reader understand where you want pauses, and breaks. take care of your self, sir. he would want you to. Namaste.

The rhythm works easily for me. I couldn't find the typos. Might be cause I'm tired but a little help would be met with gratitude. My lover's not coming back. He's gone. Read it again and you might see something different. Focus on the third stanza. It's not a poem about heartbreak.

pimple. yes. excellent example of the genre.
1 finger, there's a lot of potent emotion here. weed out the typos. read it aloud, and smooth the rhythm. you want your lover back? make these words your surrogate until then. it's worth it, as you well know.

Ah, beautiful Dreamer! Deny that you have fucked your sister. Deny it, man. You cannot. You are like Salome, but you learned Taps insteads of Veils, and the clattering of your Hoof is recognizable to this ear.
OK, im confused, been up for 5 days now.. i think i had way too much meth, and im starting to become paranoid and schizophrenic... deranged thoughts going wild.. this isnt good. im going to sleep or something, spend long therapy sessions with Mary Jane and the Bong Tower made in honor of mary's serene grace.. and ill try to figure out the source of my mental malfunction.. reprogramming.. wheres my programmer.. wait FUCK, im the programmer.. great, this makes everything interesting, oh mary jane help me AAAAAAAHhHHHH
Calculate my fate, you will find me confused, unable to relate, but alas i continue this debate, watching you berate me. Immature? ok, sure, whatever you say Gent, however you would like my words bent, out of place of original meaning, all the while the song bird is singing sheet sheet, mention breath and death yes, tasteless it is, for it can't be called shit.

Who exactly do you think this would piss off? The Canucks? They already hate Yanks and looking at the poem would assume that you are one. Besides you blame all their problems on the Frogs. They do that anyway, and you're helping them. The their in the that part of the poem could easily mean the French Canadians' flag. I repeat, they don't like the Frogs. So I ask again, who are you pissing off? Who ever gave the 3 votes with too much generosity.
interesting and dreamy music.
Tasteless and immature? What do you mean by tasteless? Why is it tasteless? 99.9% brilliant? That means that the probability that you are telling the truth is 0.1%
