god'swife on Anouk by daniella 6 Jun 2003, 12:46 PM
I don't know if Anouk is a place or a flower, but I know what having a child is. Anouk must be lovely what ever it is.
Interesting, especially if the reader is unaware of the situation. I think it's a perfect definition. It made me smile, that's always good.

Would you say the key to a woman's strength and solidarity is her birth canal?

I think the opposite about the Necroscope series: It has a fairly good setting (psychic Russians vs. ancient evil), and a lot of bizarre and original things, but it is badly written and contains too much cliche. If I had anything by him with me right now I'd post some extracts to show what I mean, but I won't for a few weeks. The Titus Crow series is especially odious, because, whether he is actually trying to emulate Lovecraft's style, it comes off as a crappy imitation and the result is painful and boring.
god'swife on The Bloody War Of Angels by Caducus 6 Jun 2003, 12:19 PM
I got it. Today, after too little sleep and a cup of coffee and a hit of the remedy, I got it, and it was crazy and beautiful to see.

Titus Crow Vol I and II were both great (Each contains two stories). The Fruting Bodies collection of short stories is also very good. The House Of Doors and its sequal, The Maze Of Worlds were very enjoyable and the Hero Of Dreams series is fantastic. I would guess, however, that what you were refering to is the Necroscope series. I don't enjoy that series simply becuase of the subject matter. It was still well written as all his works are. Howard Phillips Lovecraft is the better of the two writers but both are great.

Eggggcellent!!! You're one angry young cunt, and I mean that witht the highest respect. Awareness is key, says my brother. Out-doing pain?! Wow another two-fisted thought. Thanks for the ammo.
god'swife on aquellos eramos by daniella 6 Jun 2003, 11:07 AM
the first stanza is not nearly as well constructed as the rest, but once it gets going in the second it does not let up. Great images, what a brilliantly sexual and romantic language. I also want you to know that last line is far-reaching genius. Glad you came up with it. Bravo.

Looks like a boyscout tragedy. Be prepared. Yeah, but nobody can prepare you for the 45 degree angle, legs spread above your head, vacuum cleaner with the thin pipe attachment suck.

Sexy. Well written. Trying changing 'dead-end hall' to just dead hall. That penultimate couplet's a killer. I like this fish, she's my kind.

"She frogs when I'm all toady" what a fuckin' great line. I'm not sure what it means, but that's ok. this is one sublimely angry poem. Your one hot sister.

never know how to write song lyrics This is a good stab perhaps an incendiary line or too to spice it up?
Everyone must see Thrace and its mountains, its interesting as Thrace has connotations with Bacchus and this site has a Bachus. I hope people read AND study this poem its quite a unique poem identifying with heritage and a yearning for reason of who we are and of the affect of our origins and chosen home lands. From A Website on Thrace and its history and I must say absolutely fascinating. Threcian scenery ranges from picturesque mountain villages to crystal clean sandy beaches -- that have all been awarded with the EEC flag -- and lakes with ducks and swans in them. It is said that in Thrace, every step is a journey and visitors realize that since the first time they put their foot on this really Great Land. My dear boy this deserves to be read. 9

I think your title idea is superior and wish to inform you I have changed it to 'How we meant to leave it' in my personal Boa skin portfolio. Excellent title I thank you.
