I'm glad I shaved before I read this, or I might not ever have found where that went.

Wow, very strong, very intimidating. This isnt what I was expecting at all. This is either from the perspective of a poor, or homeless man/woman/child. Intense, short and to the point. i give it a 10

A good try, but all poemes about escaped negroes must end with their capture. Any poeme that doesn't highlight the futility of trying to escape is only likely to rekindle that awful twinkle they get in their eyes when they think "I'm not a slave - I'm a human being". I once had to shoot a whole herd because of that.

Crystal,
How you continue to be so creative astounds me. Your poems cause me to utter an anguished yelp as I ache with the pain of my throbbing member hitting my desk.
I can only hope the torrential river of thoughts, emotions and experiences never run dry and form small ox bow lakes in which phrases like "expressed solely in these lettered constructs" meander without the juxtaposition of a finely formed "so incomplete romance in words".
I would not be the first poet on this website to confess my affection for your beguiling skills with the English language, however I am probably the first to have worn my ridge off reading your words.
Yours with increasingly ardent fervour,
Your Friend
I have a fat back.

A lingering smell of "follow through" has permeated this poem.

Some parts of this are rather good. The only things that really bother me are the title, some bad punctuation problems, and a few word choices. Mostly the title. Still, I don't mean to sound like it's not pretty nice writing in several places. It is.

I really like half of the lines, here. And the idea behind it. Actually, the more I read it, the more I like the idea behind it. moving a six to a seven.
favorite bits: monsters, ecstatic catharsis, and the syllabic trellises. :)

Simply the best thing you've ever fucking done.
Brilliant. Absolutely Memorable. I'll take it to my grave and I am grateful that I have seen it before I go there.

the bleeding is very nicely done, aetius, and i like the analogy to amish tables but the words "polished clean through much erasure;" don't fitwith it--they trip them selves up. give them harder sounds to match the table's angles.
vomit--vomit. monsters unleashed--yesyes--
wild apples sewn by the mad--are you mad? why not the birds? why not by orchard-raiders chased off the land by athe tenant-farmer??
tame roses--ah, now that thorn soothes ,me. now you're back on track...
