You suck.

This is much better. Traditional but well done. I don't hold the 'garbage' comment against you.
I braced myself for the punch, you were certain to deliver.

There once was a lady from Ealing/Who almost et her ceiling./She licked her ceiling/with floppy lips/and said, "Oh no, I've eaten my ceiling." -- Mark Overall, age 10.

How insightful. Except: it's not.
lukehanny, you are the win.

Typo last line.
I can always count on you to make things interesting. You communicate emotion through concrete images, my favorite.

Oh my, what a difference that makes. Who'd a thunk it.

I think this is truly beautiful. I understand the sentiment entirely and you portray it delcately and honestly. Perhaps these others simply do not understand what you are trying to say.

This is great. The senses are thoroughly stroked and stoked. All this beautiful abundance!
You didn't really need the last bit. It was quite realistically satirical as it was.

Are you sure the alarm will disturb the bird song, or just your appreciation of, surely the birds will keep singing. The message is fine, but I think the 2nd stanza could do with some work, it is difficult to read presently.
Katie on Dilemma of a Crip by Ninoy_Instigator 10 Oct 2002, 9:33 AM
Cript is a big gang where i'm from, there everywhere, and most people here are scared of them. I do know guy's that are just like what you said in your poem...but there haveing a hard time getting out, it's not as easy as it says, but now about the poem, I like your idea for this...it's something no one else here so far I believe has tried, yet stuff like that happens in life...alot. I give it a 7/10 =)

lines 4,5, & 6 are confusing. The last image I believe would work better if you replaced 'Like' with 'All' the poor dear really is a prisoner.

Hmmm. The first metaphor using the candle is very good. the second is questionable. I sthe snowflake lost, or destroyed? Senses/tempest is a nice rhyme.

"We were thinking of" you end the line on a preposition, and I my mind expects a new thought afterward.
