I hope you can understand some of my confusion. Most of this sport sounds utterly gay to me. To wit:
"1641: Oram gains a reward for some tight spell and is overjoyed as Trescothick prods for an edge behind.
New batsman Butcher survives despite a silly waft first ball."
Oram is the name of a Kiwi (not a fruit but a New Zealandder) New Zealand is an island just south of Hawaii.
Strauss was a famous composer, and also and Englishman on his debut at Lords. Lords is a cricket ground.
Tea is an afternoon meal which involves tiffin and a cup of cha.
Strauss was made to attempt to strike the ball, and he missed, an indication that the ball had just missed the outside edge.
Strauss undid orams good work and clipped - ie. delicately spanked, him on his leg side four four of the Queen's runs.
I trust this has made the game easier to understand.
We are now 208 for 1.
"1533: Oram returns after tea and makes Strauss play and miss but undoes his good work with a leg-side delivery that is clipped for four."
I have no idea what this means.
England New Zealand - except we are now 198-1.
What's 192-1?
Yep.
192-1 - now thats worth discussing at length.

Don't get him started on his wife.
No, we aren't still together. I was trying to say that our bodies fit as we lay in the grass, but in addition, I felt that "we" fit as a couple, but maybe there is a better way to express that. Thanks for the suggestion!

Why don't we all come over to your place and get mashed!!!!!!
Shuperb. Really shuperb.
By the way, I've just taken delivery of a case of this: http://tinyurl.com/2anck
It's very reasonably priced for such an excellent wine. I suggest you order a case or two yourself.
This poem is a pool of rancid flange juice left on the seat of a sunshine bus by an elderly citizen.

I don't own a television, old boy.
BOY: "Hello, my dear. You look radiant this evening. Can I get you a drink? My name's Nicholas Jones. I won the Melben G. Glasscock Center for Humanities Research Prize in Historical Literary Studies."
GIRL: [Speechless]
The worst thing about this poem isn't that it's about religion. It's that you're either A) the world's biggest failure for allowing yourself to remain "reprobate" when you know how you should act/believe to be saved, or B) the world's biggest failure for presuming to know what reprobates think when you are not, in fact, one of them.
If A) better describes you, why don't you just take control of your life, you ninny? If B) is closer to the truth (and I'll bet it is) why don't you write about something you actually know instead of casting your exceedingly self-righteous presumptions around like swollen buttocks? As it happens, I'm probably utterly reprobate, and yet my life isn't anything like this. In fact, every reprobate I know isn't like that. In any event, in your current form, you fail.

Expand your poetic horizons and write something that isn't about failed romantic love or your naïve crutch of a religion.

Have you been watching Cavanagh QC?
It felt amazing, actually. I got presented with cheque for 250 dollars at a fancy luncheon at the SCMLA convention, where I got a huge slab of beef with two pieces of potato. I travelled to Arkansas (which is a long way from Swansea) to talk about an obscure Welsh poet. Plus it looks very good on my CV and allows me to impress people at parties.
I am slightly perturbed as to how you found this out and whether you are somehow electronically stalking me.
